Kate Benedetti is a passionate Licensed Social Worker who merges solution focused practice with trauma informed somatic care to foster an integrative approach to healing. Kate is dedicated to creating an inclusive and sensitive therapeutic environment that meets the client where they are, and forges a pathway to where they want to go.

Kate began her education with a degree in Veterinary Nursing, and worked as a Certified Veterinary Technician with a specialty in anesthesia and pharmacokinetics. She then went on to obtain a Bachelors of Arts in Elementary Education, with a focus on childhood studies, as well as a Masters of Social Work with a clinical specialization, both from Stockton University.

Kate draws upon her experience in street and community outreach services and social work in a health care setting to provide comprehensive and individualized care to persons of all ages and backgrounds, who are struggling with co-occurring conditions including substance use, anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD and CPTSD. She is most enthusiastic about the convergence of evidence-based contemporary trauma focused methodologies with traditional grounding techniques. This provides immediate and lasting relief from suffering and fosters a mind-body connection. Kate utilizes multiple treatment modalities that include Internal Family Systems, TF-CBT, solution focused brief therapy and emotionally focused therapy.

Kate is a lifelong resident of Ocean County and has a deep love and appreciation for the diversity and beauty of the Jersey Shore area. She is a devoted mom and animal lover who enjoys spending time with her family and many pets. She also is a dedicated and grateful yoga practitioner.
